Located on the south side of the rapidly developing Indian School corridor, east of the 28th Street, this new building is home to an authentic Mexican taco concept: Taco Viva. This ground up restaurant design is based on the street vendor aesthetic with it’s simple shape, white masonry walls and red architectural accents beaconing the classic Mexican taco shop south of the border. Original Latinx themed wall murals and casual interior design blending indoor with outdoor elements add to the authentic street vibe. Outdoor patio along Indian School Rd offers beautiful views of the Camelback Mountain while engaging with the street. Slanted roof over the patio, extending on the side over the drive-thru lane adds shade and a dynamic line to the simple silhouette of the building. New parking lot, custom designed site elements and new desert landscape complete the re-development effort – replacing old, vacant buildings and creating a new, re-vitalized urban environment with a modern, yet classic character.
