Visiting Vancouver and Seattle was an inspiring journey. After a fantastic dinner in Yaletown, we woke the next morning for a walking tour of Vancouver. We visited the TELUS Garden Office and the underground offices of Henriquez Partners before moving to Gastown and the Coal Harbor area for seafood on the water. Next, we rented bikes to tour through Stanley Park, then around the False Creek waterfront and past the under-construction Vancouver House by BIG, Bjarke Ingles Group. We enjoyed drinks at Craft Beer Market and dinner at Belgard Kitchen. Before leaving we spent the morning at Granville Island Public Market.
We returned to the Seattle area for dinner at Osteria Spiga, then the Underground Tour before we ventured out to survey the bar scene at Vons 1000 Spirits. The following day was spent at the Olympic Sculpture Park, OMA’s Seattle Public Library, and the brutalist Freeway Park. We toured the Amazon headquarters and spheres that were just completed with incredible views to the islands on a bright, cloudless day.
